At Mauzy, community isn’t just where we work—it’s part of our identity. Every year, our team volunteers, sponsors, and participates in events that uplift families, celebrate local traditions, and support meaningful causes across San Diego. From cheering on students at school fun runs, to partnering with the San Diego Humane Society, to showing up for military families, neighborhood festivals, and charitable campaigns, we believe in being an active, positive force in the places we call home. Whether we’re donating, volunteering, or simply spreading joy with Poppy the Penguin, our goal is always the same: to help strengthen and support the communities that support us.

ACS San Diego Home Show
January 11 &12 @ San Diego Convention Center
We had an incredible weekend connecting with homeowners at the ACS San Diego Home Show. Our team enjoyed sharing the latest in home comfort, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality—plus bringing a little fun to the expo floor. Visitors stopped by to play games, win prizes, and enter raffles for premium indoor air quality and water purity systems. One of the highlights of the event was the appearance of our beloved mascot, Poppy the Penguin, who was a hit with attendees of all ages. We’re grateful for everyone who stopped by to learn more about how we can make their homes healthier, more comfortable, and more efficient.
Bonsall Elementary School Sugar Rush Run

Mauzy was proud to sponsor the Bonsall Elementary School Sugar Rush Run. We had a blast cheering on the students as they raced to the finish line. Our employees and Poppy the Penguin were there to hand out water and high-fives! Supporting our schools and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles is what we’re all about!
Lemon Avenue Elementary School Fun Run

We had a blast sponsoring the Lemon Avenue Elementary School Fun Run, a lively event filled with energy, smiles, and school spirit. Our team loved cheering on the students as they raced, laughed, and supported one another throughout the day. Poppy the Penguin brought plenty of excitement and photo worthy moments for the kids and their families. Our mauzy coloring pages were also a huge hit, giving students a fun way to cool down and get creatuve after the run.
San Diego Humane Society’s Walk for Animals
April 19th @ Kit Carson Park in Escondido
We were honored to sponsor the San Diego Humane Society’s Walk for Animals—a heartwarming community tradition that brings animal lovers together to support our furry friends in need. The event was filled with wagging tails, inspiring stories, and a shared commitment to giving every animal a chance at a happy, healthy life. Our team enjoyed meeting so many passionate pet owners and animal advocates throughout the day. One of the highlights was handing out Mauzy pet bandanas, which looked adorable on the many dogs who stopped by our booth. Beyond the walk itself, attendees also had the opportunity to visit the on-site adoption center, where several animals found their forever homes—an uplifting reminder of why this event means so much.
So Cal Taco Fest
May 4 & 5 @ SeaWorld San Diego
We were thrilled to sponsor SoCal Taco Fest, hosted at the iconic SeaWorld San Diego. The festival brought together thousands of taco enthusiasts, music lovers, and families for a full day of flavor, entertainment, and community spirit—and Mauzy was right in the middle of the excitment. One of the standout moments of the day was seeing our beloved mascot, Poppy, dancing on stage and hyping up the crowd. From Salsa moves to playful waddles, Poppy brought big smiles. Of course, no taco fest is complete without tacos—and plenty were enjoyed! Guests sampled creations from local vendors, each adding their own unique spin to San Diego’s favorite handheld treat. Adding even more fun to the festivities was the fan-favorite chihuahua beauty pageant, where tiny pups strutted their stuff and stole the hearts of everyone watching.

Supporting a program that brings teamwork, sportsmanship, and community spirit to young athletes and their families. From the first pitch to the final game, it was an honor to cheer on the players as they learned, grew, and made memories on and off the field. Our team was especially excited to attend the league’s day of losing ceremony—a wonderful celebration that brought the season to a heartfelt finish.
Kroc Center San Diego Scholarship Campaign

Mauzy was proud to support the Kroc Center’s annual Scholarship Campaign—an initiative that provides life-changing opportunities for thousands of local families. To help kick off the first week of the campaign, Mauzy donated $1,250, contributing to programs that offer youth development, wellness activities, education, and community connection. During our visit, Poppy had a wonderful time meeting RJ, the Kroc center’s spirited mascot. Their reunion brought plenty of smiles and excitement to the day. We also had the privilege of speaking to Paul Maley from the Kroc Center team, who shared inspiring stories about the impact these scholarships make fir families who rely on the center’s vital resources.
La Mesa Flag Day Parade w/ Lemon Avenue Elementary School

Lemon Avenue Elementary School and Mauzy teamed up for this year’s La Mesa Flag Day Parade. We were excited to celebrate flag day—and even more excited to celebrate our well-deserved BEST FLOAT AWARD! The parade was filled with community pride, patriotic spirit, and smiles all around, and we couldn’t be prouder to have played a part in bringing such a special entry to life. To make the day even more memorable, our beloved mascot , Poppy, joined in the fun spending time with the school’s leopard mascot and delighting attendees with adorable photo ops.
First Fridays Concert Series
First Fridays of the month in June and August-October @ Allied Gardens
This year Mauzy teamed up with our partner company, Ideal Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electrical, to proudly present the First Fridays Summer Concert Series in Allied Gardens—an energetic community tradition that brought neighbors together for music, fun, and warm summer nights. Held on the first Friday of every month in June, August, September, and October, the series welcomed families, friends, and music lovers from across the community. Each month featured incredible music guests who took the stage and kept the crowd dancing, singing along, and celebrating the best of local talent. From upbeat performances to laid back summer vibes, every concert offered something special. To make the evenings even sweeter, the Mauzy and Ideal teams handed out free snow cones and popcorn, which quickly became crowd favorites—especially on warm evenings. Seeing families gather on blankets, kids enjoying icy treats, and the community coming together was the highlight of our season.
ASYMCA Back Pack Bash

We were honored to volunteer at this years Armed Services YMCA Back Pack Bash, a meaningful event dedicated to military families as they prepare for the new school year. The Backpack Bash ensures that children head back to class equipped with essential supplies—and with the confidence and excitement they deserve. Our team was proud to lend a helping hand, distributing backpacks, school materials, and plenty of smiles throughout the day. Seeing families walk away feeling supported and read for the year ahead reminded us just how impactful this event is for our local military community.
Wounded Warrior Carry Forward 5k

Mauzy was honored to sponsor this year’s Wounded Warrior Project Carry Forward 5k, an inspiring event dedicated to empowering and uplifting the brave men and women who have served our nation. The day was filled with patriotic spirit, determination, and community support as participants of all ages came together for a meaningful cause. Our team had a fantastic time cheering on runners and walkers throughout the course, and we were thrilled to host the event’s official photobooth, capturing countless smiles, team moments, and memories. Even better—several Mauzy team members laced up their own running shoes and joined the 5k, proudly running in support of veterans and their families.
Cruisin Grand

We had an incredible time sponsoring Cruisin’ Grand in Escondido—a beloved local tradition that brings classic car enthusiasts and community members together for an evening of nostalgia, craftsmanship, and chrome. The streets were lined with stunning vehicles, passionate owners, and families out to enjoy one of Southern California’s favorite weekly gatherings. Our team had a blast meeting attendees, handing out Mauzy car fresheners and other fun goodies, and soaking in the energy of the event. One of the biggest highlights of the night was being invited to choose one of the show’s award winners. With so many impressive cars to admire, it wasn’t an easy task—but we were blown away by a gorgeous green 1969 Chevy Camaro, a true standout that captured both style and classic muscle.
Lennox Feel the Love Event

Each year, Lennox’s Feel the Love program reminds us just how special our community is—and how meaningful it can be to give back to those who need it most. This year, Mauzy had the privilege of supporting two incredible deserving nominees, Carlos and Amanda Chavez (a marine veteran and an active navy employee), by providing a home comfort upgrade that will make a lasting difference for their family. Our team was honored to step in, lend our expertise, and help create a safer, more comfortable living situation for the Chavez family. Acts of kindness like this are at the heart of the Feel the Love program, and we’re grateful to play a role in bringing comfort and care to our neighbors. Food Drive with Jacob Cushman’s San Diego Food Bank

Mauzy extends a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who contributed to our food drive this year. Thanks to the generosity of our team, customers, and community members, we were able to donate 164 pounds of food to the San Diego Food Bank—a meaningful contribution that helps nourish local families in need. From canned goods to pantry staples, every donation played a part in strengthening our community and supporting neighbors who rely on the food bank’s vital services. We are icredibly grateful for the kindness and compassion shown by everyone who participated.
